Dorelei mab Breidaia is the daughter of Gartnach mab Aniel and Breidaia mab Necthana and the eldest niece of Drustan mab Necthana. Because of the matrilineal system of succession in Alba, her son would inherit the throne and her daughter would give birth to the next Cruarch after Dorelei's son. Imriel de la Courcel marries her so the next Cruarch will be half-D'Angeline.
Dorelei dreamed true dreams, but during Imriel's binding, her dreams were silenced. Dorelei also stated that she had seen her aunt Moiread, who had died in the battle of Bryn Gorrydum, at the Feast of the Dead .
She is killed by Berlik of the Maghuin Dhonn.
