Duc Faragon Shahrizai, also called Faragon de Shahrizai, was the head of House Shahrizai. He spent most of his time in the d'Angeline province of Kusheth, but for serious family members would visit the City of Elua when called upon. Duc Faragon was present at the d'Angeline Palace when his younger kinsman Marmion Shahrizai was put on trial for treason and for the death of his sister Persia Shahrizai. The death of Persia fell under Kusheline jurisdiction, and Quincel de Morhban, the Lord of Kusheth, offered to give Marmion to the custody of his family the punish as Duc Faragon saw fit. Faragon refused the offer, declared Marmion no longer a scion of House Shahrizai and supported the ultimate decision of exile.

Years later, when Melisande Shahrizai disappeared from her imprisonment by sanctuary at the Temple of Asherat in La Serenissima, he was again brought before Queen Ysandre de la Courcel. There, Duc Faragon declared his loyalty and that his family had no involvement in her escape. During the same meeting, the Duc spoke with Melisande's son and the Queen's kinsman, Prince Imriel nó Montrève de la Courcel and his foster mother Phèdre nó Delaunay de Montrève. Faragon requested that she allow Imriel to be fostered in Kusheth for a summer. Phèdre declined, but later accepted his suggestion that Imriel's cousins, Mavros Shahrizai, Baptiste and Roshana Shahrizai be fostered for a summer at Montrève.
