Gilot was one of the men-at-arms of House Montrève in Siovale. He also served at their residence in the City of Elua He married Katherine Friote, but their relationship fell apart after she suffered a miscarriage. Later, Gilot accompanied Imriel nó Montrève de la Courcel to Tiberium when he travelled to study at the University of Tiberium.
