Jacobe Ulric was a Cassiline Brother and a Master mentor within the brotherhood. He was the brother who took Joscelin Verreuil from his family home to join the Cassilines and one his closest mentor as a cadet and young brother. Although he was not able to serve in the traditional role as a bodyguard to nobility due to an injury that left him with a limp, Jacobe was nonetheless a highly skilled warrior and excellent teacher who served by passing the teachings of the Cassilines on to young cadets.
When Joscelin Verreuil left the Cassiline Brotherhood rather than betray his vow to protect Phèdre nó Delaunay, Brother Jacobe wrote to Joscelin's family to share the news and wrote that he believe he must have had reason for his choice.
