Jacqueline Carey is the author of the Kushiel's Legacy series and many other books. She also wrote the Kushiel-verse short story "You, and You Alone," and the non-canonical short story "The Martyr of the Roses," which was the basis for the earliest ideas that led to the Kushiel's Legacy series.
